Messrs 11. Matson and Co.. report :—On Thursday, at our Canterbury Wool Stores, •wo held', our usual weekly sale of the above. In fat, a very largo quantity was pout forward in bad condition, and for th ise lots of course a great reduction in price had to he submitted to. but for butchers' best rough fat. dry and well saved, tho market was, ii' anything, firmer ihan last week. Butchers who send their offal for sale in had co idition have only theuise'vos to thank for tho low prices it realise?.
<_v itations as follows, viz., best woolled •cross-Lu'ed skins, 5s lo Gs 13d each ; best uteri io woolly skins, 5s \o (U Id each ; butch u-s'bust cross-bred' pelts, 2s lOd to 2s .'id, and one very good line. 2s Gd each ; second quality, Is to 2s 9,1 ; inferior, 4d to lid ea-h ; best merino pelts, Is to Is 5d each ; second qua'ity, 7d to lid each ; inferior and dry, IjA to lid eacli; butchers' best rough fat made 2d to 2 : bl. and one line 2j} i per lb ; second quality, if 1 to l£d, .inferior aud heated, l£d to l^-.1, hides, 4d :j)"i- lb ; damaged hides, 2;] d per lb ; calf■skios, 4 I per lb; tallow. to 2jhd per M.; wool, 5I to Hi per lb; peices, ;3d to :s}l ; locks Ud to oil per lh.
