Owing no doubt to harvest operations being in full swinp,t' c.-c was only a moderate attend :!tce at, the Addinglon Yards on Wednesday last. The stock yarded comprised G915 sheep, 17G cattle, ami 148 pigs. Sheep.—Some very prime lots of cross br. ds were brought forward, and they commanded a keener competition than had characterised the market of late. Longbeach cross—which were of very fine ■quality—topped the market of 123s Gil, as also did merinos from the same place ai 8s I).). Other cross broils of good quality soi.l at from 10s 23d to 12s ; medium and light weights at front 8s to ( J_ 23d. We quote mutton at 2d per lb. A large supply of fat Limits was brought forward. Prime lots sold up to 8s l)d ; good do, 7s il.l ; others, 5s Gd to lis lid.- A large proportion of the stores were merinos and lull-mouthed cross-breds, lor which there wns good competition, but no alteration in prices. Cat.le. —The entries of cattle were nn--1 s mlv small, thotiiili the average quality wis very good. The bidding was dull throughout. We quote best quality beet r.t 17s per 1001b ; medium and indifferent, 10-t. Very few stores were offered, and the prices obtained are not worth quoting. Pigs were cleared out at last week's rates.
