BARRY'S BAY.
The annual meeting of the householders was held in tbe schoolroom, Barry's Bay, on Monday, 24th inst, for purpose of e'ecting a School Committee for the ensuing year. Mr D. Le Comte, jun., wfts voted to the chair. The Chairman having read the statement o c accounts for the year ending Dec. 31, 1880, it was resolved that the accounts, as read, be adopted. Considerable interest was taken in the election of the new Committee, there being no less than fourteen persons proposed, from which the following were elected : —Messrs E. Beard, D. Le Comte, jun, 11. Latter, T. Le Comte E. S. Latter, it. Stewart, and Jas. Wright jun. A vote of thanks to the Chairman, terminated the meeting. At a Committee meeting held immediately afterwards, Mr D. Le Comte, jun? was elected Chairman. It was resolved —That Mr R. Latter countersign cheques with the Chairman that the schoolroom be allowed free for church services of any denomination, for any public meeting, or for any benefit entertainment, on condition that the room he left in the same state as found. After transacting some ordinary business, the meeting adjourned.
