Owing to the laic rains, the pelt? .cnine to hand in bad condition, causing •a conwHeiT.ble loss to the owner. Butchers would, therefore, in the., ovn interests, do well for tho future to :oc that the pelts and fat arc kept dry, us it. will pay them well to do so Our catalogue consisted of 2105 eheepskins, 121 bag;? rough fat, 04 hides, and several bags /md packages of tallow, the whole of which were cleared at prices as under :—Best woolly .skins made 5s to Gα each ; best lamb-kirn:; made Is 6d to Is S)d each ; second quality, Is 2d to In 5d each ; butchers' best rough fat, dry and wt'il liftvod, 2£d to 2-jd per lb ; second qnniily, ].£d to 2d per lb; none under Tallow. i!d to 2gd per lb. Hides:, 3d. hide?, 2|d ; calfskins, 4d per lb.
