ELECTION OF COMMITTEES. rpilK BOARD, in pursuance of J_ power in that behalf conferred by " The Fducathm Act 1877 " (section (H) hereby directs that a Public Meeting of the householders in every School District throughout the Educational District of North Canterbury, bo held on MONDAY, the twenty-fourth day of January, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-one, at 7 o'clock in the evening, for the election in each district of seven householders (section f>4) to form the Committee for such district for the year ending with the fourth Monday in January next year. The'place of meeting shall be the Schoolhouse in ouch district which is provided with a Schoolhonse, and this is understood to mean the Main Sctioolliousc in any district which has more than one school. In the districts in which schools an not yet built, the places of meeting shall be as follow : — Flemington—Wheatfitoue Hotel Hurunui—Hurunui Hotel Kirwee —Kirweo Hotel Mason's Flat —Horsely Downs Sta tion The Board further directs thatch first meeting ol each School Committe be held in the place appointed for tin elections, and immediately after tli election, upon the same evening.
