MEETING OF BOARD.

Immediately after the public meeting a meeting of the Board was hold, when the following members were piosont:—Messrs Chappell, ShadboH, McDonald and Williams. Mr Chappell occupied the chair ad interim. On the motion of Mr Williams, seconded by Mr ShadboH, the Board adjuirned till 430 p.m., to secure the attendance of Mr Piper. The Board afterwards resumed, when Mr A. ('. Knight was in attendance, and requested to be informed in what stage the opening of the Wainui extension road through Rhodes' Flat was. The Board notified that when the conveyance for the 'and, which was now in hand, was prepared, the work would be at once proceeded with as far as the funds of the Board would allow. The election of Chairmin, and other business of the animal meeting, was adjourned till the 22ni hist., at 2 p.m.
