BuiSHANK, NOV. 18
Tho Legislative Assembly last night passed a resolution appointing Mr King, at present the Queensland Commissioner for the Melbourne Exhibition, a member of the Royal Commission of inquiry into the purchases of steel rails in England, whither he will proceed and act in conjunction with his colleague, to be appointed by the Secretary of State for the Colonies.
In the libel actim brought by Mr Gresley Lukin, editor of the " Brisbane Courier," against the proprietors of the " Australian," a verdict has been reterned for the plaintiff with damages, £800.
