WOOL, SHEEPSKINS, HIDES AND TALLOW REPORT.

Messrs H. Mntson and Co. report:—On Thursday at our Canterbury Wool Stores we held our usual weekly sale of the above. There was only a small attendance of fellmongers, and values fluctuated considerably, but for butchers'full wools in good condition the decrease in price was hardly perceptible, while in merino pelts and lambskins, a very considerable drop had Jo be submitted to. Our catalogue consisted of 24GG sheepskins, 117 bags of rough fat, 91 hides, a few bales and several bags of wool, and a few casks and packages of tullow, every lino offered beingcleared at prices as under viz.:—Butchers' best crosa-bred made Gs 3d to 7s 3d each ; necond quality, 5s to Gs 2d each ; medium, Us Gd to 4i* lid each ; butchers' best merinos made 5s 9d t« 6s 4d each ; second tquality, 4s to 5s Gd each ; medium, 3s Gd ;to 3s lid each. Pelts brought from 4d to 9d each. Lambskins 6d to Is 4d ; and country skins, for best, Ga to 7s 3d each ; others as per description and quality. Best dry rough fat made 24, d to 2fd ; medium, 2d to 2|d ; inferior, l£d to l£d yer lb. Hides tnades damaged 2id, and calfskins made 4d per lb. Taliowin casks made 21s 6d and 21s per cwt, tallow in packages made lj}d to 2-Jd per lb. Wool in bales made from 6sd to 7MI, do in bags sjkl, locks 2£d to 4d, pieces to 7£d.
