CORN EXCHANGE REPORT.
The following is from the report for the week ending Friday evening, Sept. 10. Grass i'eed , —Trade in this article of produce has been better during tho past month, find seed of good quality is readily saleable at from 2a Gd to 2s 9d per bushel. Light and badly dressed samples, Is Gd to per buehel. Cocksfoot. —Sales have oeen made during the past week at from 3d to 3£d per lb. Potatoes —The season is drawing to a vlose. Stocks in the hands of farmers are rather above the average lor this season of tho year. No remunerate outlets are opened beyond New Zealand Pores. Sales are reported during the week at 18s per ton. In the ab»euce of actual orders, buyers are reticent even at those low figures. Quotations are nominal at from 18s to 20s per ton. Clieeso and Butter.—There is no chuipe to report in values. The former is in good supply from 4d to 4£d per lb. The latter is abundant and almost unsaleable. Hay.—so-i to 55 .s delivered in town.
