GRAIN AND PRODUCE.

Not much variation can bo noted in the grain market since our last report. There is a fair amount of business passing through hands, and prices in some lines are more satisfactory in every way. .Wheat locally is firm, and firet-class samples of milling are readily saleable up to 4s. There has been a considerably enquiry for seed parcels, and sales have been made freely during tlie week at 4s 2d to 4s 6d.

Oats continue in fair request at Is 6d to Is 7d for best milling. Good stout feed quality are worth Is 4d to Is 5d ; lower grades, Is Id to 1h 2d. Barley.—The market for this grain does not present any new features. Fair quality has been sold at 2s 2d to 2s 4d. Good malting commands 2s 6d to 2s Bd, while first class lots are quoted at 3s 3d to 3s 6d. Potatoes.—We have no alteration to note in the value of these, 22s 6d to 25s being current rates. Flour. —Following the improved value of wheat, millers have advanced the price of flour 20s per ton. Grass Reed. —Most of the business transactions has been second hand. The demand, if anything, has-slightly improved, though prices are m no way affected. Dairy Produce.—Buttor, quiet, at 9d ; cheese, 4d to 4£d ; hams and bacon, bare 9jjd, in cloth, lOd.
