LOCAL MARKETS.

Messrs H. Matson and Co. report on tbe Lire Stock Market, &c, for th 3 week ending June 24, as follows:: — On Thursday we hold our usual weekly sale of Wool, Sheepskins, .Rouen Fat,, Hides, <_c. 2779 skins were catalogued, and al! sold with the exception of two lots which did not -reach owners' limits. There wis a good attendance of buyers, and competition was spirited. The prices obtained were on an average equal to last week's quotations. Wo sold a few lots of exceptionally large and heavily woolled skins at 6s sd, Gs Gd, 7s and 7s Gd each; Butchers' cross-bred, large and fall woolled | _s 2d to 7s ; do do, medium, 2s 2d to 4s 2d ; do do, email and inferior, Is 2d to 2s ; do, merino large and full woolled, 3s 5d to 4a Id ; do do, medium, 2s to 3s 9d ; do do, small and inferior, Is 3d to 2s 3d ; country cross-bred, large and full woolled, 3s 7d to 6s 6d ; do do, medium, 2s to 3s 9d ; do do, small and inferior, 6d to 2s ; do merino, large and full woolled, 3s 2d to 3s 9d ; •do do, medium, Is lid to 3s 2d ; do do, small and inferior, la to Is lid.

Fat and Tallow. —One hundred and thirty-four packages were catalogued, and all sold. The trade was well represented, and tho competition was spirited. Best quality, clean and well saved, to per lb ; second quality to per lb ; heated and inferior, at l£d per .lb.; tallow, in packages, to 2|d.per lb. Hides, sound, at bNjjdperlb; hides, .amagwl. 55 lbs and over, at 2£d per lb ; calfskins, sound, at 3j|d per lb ; calfskins, cut and damaged, at l£d per lb. Wool—A few lots, consisting ' oi" seven packages, were offered and dis- ■ posed of as follows:—Secured woolat€§di and Is o£d per lb; greasy wool, at S|d, GJ-d, 8d and B|d per lb. !
