STOCK REPORT.
There <wae a good muster of trade at the Ad-ingtou Yard, en Wednesday last, and biddirfg ftll round wa* mere spirited ; than on tlte previous mfo day. The stock yarded for the we<*k _.. supply comprised. 5961 sheep, 322 cattle, and 257 pigs. Sheep.—There was a large supply of • fat merinos and cross b rede, the general quality being gooH, though there were no first-class lines. Best lots sold ac high as 178 Gd, and merinos up to 10s. Wo quote mutton at a -hade over 2,id per .lb. The atoresyarded were all of indifferent quality, no good ones coming to diand. Twotooth sheep realised up to 7b 6d each. There is still a good -enquiry _or good, atores. ;
Cattle.—The fat cattle yarded were of very good quality, and sold at somewhat higher rates than last week. We quote beef nt 20s per ;1001b. "Stores sold at much .J the same rates as last week, and there is ' still a good enquiry for .young stock of this description. Pig a> —Tho whole of tho pigs yarded were from the North Island, and were of but indifferent quality. They sold at, prices ranging up to £4 each. The en- ■ quiry for pigs continues very acfive. (
