STOCK REPORT.
The attendance of buyers at the Addingtoti Yards on Wednesday was very satisfactory, and generally speaking competition for the various lots was brisk. The sup 1 ply of stock was large, except in good quality store cattle which were scarcely equal to requirements. Sheep.—The bidding for prime fat sheep was more Spirited than last week, and a rise of about Is Gd per head was tho result. The top price redibed for best quality was 14s 9d ; good ranging from lis to and light wights from 10s to 10s 9d. We quote at a shade over 2d per lb. , Tlie onquby for st)res continues brisk at a slight advance on last week's rates. " Cattle.—Prices obtained were a shade better than Inst week. There was _an improved enquiry for fat stock, and prime beer realised 18s Gd per 1001b. Stores were not very numerous, but were of good quality, and sold readily, the whole of the entries being cleared. Two-yeai-olds brought from £3 to £3 17s Gd. There is a good enquiry for well doing stock of this character. Pigs sold at prices ranging up to £4 17s 6d, being equal to about Gd.per lb for best quality. • •
