SUNDAY SHOOTING.
To the Editor of the Akaroa Mail. Si i!.—Can yon tell me whether there if any law to put a stop to Sunday shooting? It'seems not fair that" Wicked Marks" should be fined for selling three pennyworth of oranges on Sunday, nnd pheasant shooting fno doubt for the pnrposs of bavins: something nice for dinner) should be permitted. Last Sunday was not a very fine day, and not a few were detained from cluirch'in consequence : this did not, however, interfere with shooting, as guns wore going off in every direction. Yours, &c , DECENCY. [We are not aware that the practice referred to. however objectionable, is contrary to law. Kn._lJf.]
