There was a large attendance fit the-Ad-ditjgton Yards on Wednesday, but butriness was not very brisk.
Sheep.—A largo proportion of 'the sheep yarded were fat ■aroes-breds, and the biddings were dull compared with the previous week. There was accordingly a drop oi' Is per head on the best lots. We quote mutton at a ehade under 2d per lb. Store merinos sold at .from -3s 3d to .5s 6d. There were no Inuihe'in'tl)* market. Cattle.—The supply of beef was again in excess of requirements, and the bulk oi' the fat stock u'fferod wese turned out unsold. Quotations for beef, however, remain at about the same as Jaat week.
