GRAIN AND PRODUCE.

The aspect of the market has not changed since our .last report to any appreciable degree. It is still characterised by a want of buoyancy, and an indisposition to do business at present rates is shown by both buyers and sellers. Wheat.—Good samples are quoted at 3s 6d to 3s Bd, and seed parcels a trifle more. The quantity of lean and lots touched with rust offering is.considerable, and for these no more than 3s Id to 3s 3d' is obtainable. Chick wheat is tolerably abundant, and ranges from 2s 2d to-3s, according to sample. '< Oats.—For good stout oats of feeding quality in large lots, and where sales .are. pressed, Is to U 3d is offered.; *best, descriptions Is 4d to Is sd. Tartars not so saleable at the moment unless fit for seed purposes. • Barley.—-Tho samples brought iforward daily without finding an outlet are numerous. Unless of undeniable quality i sales are difficult to effect. _ i Flour.—Millers report a good business, at lalo rates. Potatoes have been sold unoie freely since our la>t report at.'27s 6d to 30s. Grass Seed.—We cannot report any change either m the demand or prices for rye grass. There is an entire absence of a speculative enquiry even at the low values ruling. There is just a chance of an improved demand manifesting itself shortly, owing to the largely increased value of wool iv the Home markets, inducing run-' holders and others to take advantage of. the present low prices, and sow down to a greater extent than otherwise would have been the case. Quotations remain.at 2h to 2.s Ud. Dairy Produce.—Cheese, 4d to sd, supply mure than equal to demand. Butter wanted at B|d to 9d ; houey,.3£d.to 4d.
