The tone of the market was quieter. Washed cross-hreds were 3d lower, and greasy cmss-breds 26 lower. May 5. The University of Glasgow has conferred an honorary degree on the Hon. Thomas M'Jlwrai'th, Colonial Secretary of Queensland. The Right Hon. Robert Lowe has been raised to the Peerage.
