To the Editor of the Akaroa Mail. Sir, —With your permission, I would wish to contradict a statement in your report of the County Council proceedings,
published ,in your last issue. In your report, I was represented as tendering for formation of Balguerie road at a lump sum of £120; wherens my tender forthf above work was only £81 10s. Yours. &c., WM. JONES. [In reference to the above, we beg to state that the error alluded to Was not our fault,' as we reported the lenders as read by the Clerk of the Council.—Ed A. M.]
