Melbourne, April 29.

The cargo of Mauritius sugar, ex barque Oabrielle Alice, sold to-day at full prices. The arrivals of Mauritius sugars are expected to be smalL Sailed—Union Co.'s s.s. Albion, for New Zealand. The anouncement that passengers form Melbourne will be quarantined at Adelaide is deemed premature, as there are only a few cases of measles in Victoria at the present time. Correction—For arrival of Tararua yesterday, read—arrival, Rotorua, from Bluff. She missed the outward mail via Suez, which left Melbourne yesterday. The Orient Company's steamship Sorata, which leaves Melbourne on 4th May will take Suez mails brought from New Zealand by Rotorua, but which missed the P. and O. Company's steamship Assam, outward bound, yesterday. At the Cabinet Council held yesterday it was resolved to introduce an amending Land Bill during next session of Parliament, with the view to relieve selectors from the hardship they are suffering under the present law. Sydney, April 29. In the Legislative Assembly, Fitzpatrick's motion of censure on Government for refusing Legislation on the question of mining on private property was negatived by a large majority.
