A similar penalty was • inflicted on Mrs E. Malmanche, the animals trespassing in her case being three calves. Civil Cases. Kissel v. Columbus; — Claim. £1 ss. Judgment by default for amount claimed with costs. Aiming v. Stewart.—Judgment summons. Claim, £5 19s 4d. Defendant did not appear. Plaintiff gave evidence that defendant had been regularly at work for some time past. The Bench made an order for the amount to be paid on or before the HOth inst. ; in default, one month's imprisonment. The Court then adjourned.
