STOCK REPORT.
There was a large attendance at the Ad<iington Yards on Wednesday, but very little , disposition was manifested to speculate.
Sheep.—Fat sheep were in over supply, which led to a reduction in prices. The ruling quotation for best quality mutton was about lfd, with a very dull sale. Lambs were scarce, but there was little demand for them. Stores are still inquired for at slightly reduced rates. Cattle.—There was a large supply of fat cattle, and a great many lots were passed out unsold. Those taken up by the trade realised about 20a per 1001b for best quality, and 17s 6'd for medium. A large number of store cattle were brought forward, but there was a very slack demand, several lines being passed in unsold. A reduction had to be submitted to for all lots that were sold. Milch cows aro still in demand at from £8 to £12.
Pigs were in better supply than usual, and being of better quality sold freely.
