WOOL, FAT, SHEEPSKINS, TALLOW, HIDES, REPORT.
On Thursday, at our Canterbury Wool Stores, we held our usual weekly sale of the above, at which a large number of the trade attended, prices being, on the whole, higher than they have ruled. Butchers best eross-breds, 3s 8d to 3s lOd ; second quality, 2s 9d to 3e 6d ; medium, U Gd to 2s 3d, and 2s 5d to 2s 7d ; butchers , best merinos 2a 3d to 2s 6d ; medium quality, Is 9d, to 2s 2d ; inferior tml badly saved, 9d to Is 8d each ; butchers' best lambs, 3s 3d to Sβ fid ; second quality, Is Gd to 3s ; inferior and badly saved, yd to In 3d ; butchers'best dry rough fat, lsd t0 2d per ft; second quality, l|d to IJd per lb ; inferior, IJd to lfd per lb. Hides sold this week to a tanner at ii£d ', calfskins, 3-jd ; tallow, no great quantity on hand, although 28s per cwt was realised for a very choice little lot.
