On Thursday, Messrs 11. Matson and Co. held their usual weekly sale of the above at their Canterbury Wool Stores, where there were a large number of fellmongers and others interested present, and prices ruled fully as high or higher than any previously quoted. Our catalogue was the largest we have had for many months, consisting of 3918 sheep and lamb skins, 118 bags rough fat, nearly 200 hides, and casks and several pkgs*efl: tallow. Woolly last year's skins reached 6s each, others from 2s 9d to 5s 4d. Butchers' best pelts made 3s, 3s 3d to 3s 7d ; second quality, 2a, 2s 3d, 2s 6d, 2s 9d, to 2s lid ; medium, Is 3d, Is 6d, Is 9d, to Is lid. Butchers' best merinos brought 2s, 2s 3d, to 2s 5d ; medium Is, is 3d, ls6d, Is 9d, to Is lid. Inferior and badly oured for, 2d, 4d, Gd, 9d, to lid each. Best lambs made 3s 3d to 3s 7d ; second quality, 2s 6d, 2s 9d, to 3s 2d. Medium, Is Gd, 2s, to 2a 4d. Butchers' best rough fat, lfd to lfd, one line to 2d ; second quality, to l|d. Inferior Id, l£d, l£d, to l|d. Hides, 3|d. Damaged and calf skins, not sold. Tallow, 16s to 21s 6il, ab per description. INTERPROVINCIAL COMMERCIAL TELEGRAMS. Dunedin, March 12. Wheat,4s to 4s4d per bushel; fowls' wheat, 3s to 3s 3d ; oats, Is 4d to Is 7d ; barley, 5s to 5s Gd ; feed, 3s to 3s 6d ; potatoes, £3 10 s per ton; round potatoes, £3; old hay, £4 ; new oaten hay, £3 ss; chaff, £3 iOa; straw, £2 ; bran, £4; pollard, £5; Hour, large sackß, £11 to £1110s; oatmeal, £11; pearl barley, £26 ; onions, 7s per cwt; new cheese, 5d to 6d per lb ; bacon, rolled, lOd ; hams, Is ; sides of bacon, lOd. Prime fat beef, 42s 6d. per lOOlbs ; mutton, 13s 4d.
