There ,vas only a fair attendance at the Addington yards on Wednesday last, harvest operations being doubtless the cause. The quality of the sheep brought forward was, as a rule, exceedingly good. There was a large supply of beef, and the bulk was of excellent quality. Tho market for be : £ opened bribk, but after a short timo a sudden and inexplicable collapse oc<urred. The opening sales were equal to 21s and 22s per 1001b, but subsequently the price fell lo 18s. Sheep.—Particularly good mutton rold at rates equal to 2d per lb, and medium quality at I id per lb. Lambs realised from 5s to 7s <Jd.~ Stores were in good demand, and sold freely. Cattle.—Best beef sold at 22s per 1001b, and medium at 18s. Stores were limited in number, and there was only a fair demand for them. # Pi"-s were in brisk demand, prime porkers selling at 4£d per lb.
