AKAROA RAILWAY.
To the Editor of the Akaroa Mail,
Sir, —I was pleased to see the letters in connection with the railway, but how about the sleepers? Mr Joblin says the saw-mills are cutting them, while one who signs himself " One who is losing faith in the Administrative Powers" says point blank there are none cut, nor yet to be cut for an unlimited time. (See Mail, 27th January.) Both writers cannot be right. How is it to be—sleepers or no sleepers? The merits of the two routes are likewise in a very unsatisfactory state—not settled. Since the two writers have made opposite statements, I think the subject should not not end so abruptly.
Yours, &c, BUSHMAN, Port Levy Valley, Feb. 3, 1880.
