We elected the present Mayor for several' reasons, among which was our desire to gratify his wish, arid his being an old settler. Though, electing-him on these grounds,wjas,!we attsurd,; etill we did so. If we again 'allow these reasons to weigh with us>, it is highly probable the municipal craft will come to grief. ,Jt is very necessary, and clearly our duty, in the interest of the Borough, to use our discretion at this juncture, and select a man who is not only willing, but able to satisfactorily represent us.
