That the following By law for the regulation of Pounds in the County .._ be adopted t— Council of the County of Akaroa. By-law No. 2,1870. A By-law for fixing the Fees and Charges to be paid to Poundkeepers in respect of all animals pounded and for the maintenance of the same whilst in the Pound. In pursuance of the provisions of "The Counties Act 1876 " the Council of the County of Akaroa doth hereby order as follows that is to say— 1 : Interpretation—ln construing this Bylaw the word " Cattle " shall mean and include all or any of the animals mentioned in the schedule hereto and the expression " Owner of Cattle " shall mean and include the person or persons to whom any cattle shall belong or other the person or persons having the lawful charge control management cr disposition of such cattle and the word " Pound *' shall mean and include every Public Pound which shall at any time after the passing of this By-law be established by the Council of the County of Akaroa and the word " Poundkeeper " shall mean and include the keeper of every such Public Pound. 2. Fees to be received by Poundkeeper —The several Fees and Charges specified in the schedule hereto shall be payable to and shall be received by every Poundkeeper in respect of all Cattle impounded and for the maintenance of the same whilst in the Pound.
