No appearance of plaintifE. Judgment for amount paid into court, £5 10s. G. Stephens v. J. Beecher—This was a claim for travelling expenses from Timaru, amounting;to £3 14s, when'plaintiff came todeferidant's employ. Mr Stephens stated that he came dowri here as servant for; Mr Beecher and considered that i Mr .Beecher should- pay his travelling.expenses one way. It was the general custom; for em-; ployers to do so. Mr Beecher stated that if, a servant remained with him for-sis. rnopfhs he would pay their travelling expenses: One. way, but as plaintiff had only* sta3*ed three months and three weeks with him he did not consider he should "pay it, Mr A. Rodrigues called, stated that when .he engaged servants he always paid their \ travelling expenses one way. Judgment for for defendant. The Court then adjourned:
