STOCK AND STATIONS.
At the Addington yards on Wednesday, 416-1 sheep, 355 head of cattle, and' 33 •uigs were submitted for the day's sale. Sheep.—With a few exceptions the sheep did not comprise tlie usual prime quality lots which have come forward at the late sales. A few pens of nice quality merinoes ■were offered, and excited keen competition.
, Prime quality cross-breds (heavy weights) ■ ' realised from 14s to 14s Gd each -good ditto , from 12s 3d to 13s Gd : fab* quajity and j'UghLifre-ghts from 9s to 10s 6d. /Merinos,- ---; best pens, brought from 'lOs to 10s 6d each ; good do from 8s Gd to 3s. We ■ quote 2M* per lb as an avcrago for fat sheep. Bestlong-wooltcdboggettsbrought 9s ; good ditto 7s 6d, and inferior 5s 3d each. ' . ' . Cattle.—Tho supply -of fat cattle -.was again somewhat large fr>r the requirements of the trade, and with the exception of "a few prime pens, the biddings were dull, We quote 32s Gd per 1001b as an average for best quality beef, while second quality made an average of 30s. Stores.—A large supply of store came forward, but the .bulk consisted of old cows in rather low condition, for which description there was a dragging sale. A few pens o£ mixed two-year-olds sold to as high as £3 10s per head.
