AKAROA RESIDENT MAGISTRATE'S COURT.
Tuesday, Sept. 29,
(Before Justin Aylrner, Esq., 8.M., and His Worship the Mayor.) UNREGISTERED DOGS. J. Figioni, G-eorgo Edwards, and Joseph Phillips, charged with having unregistered dogs in their possession, were dismissed with a caution. BREACH OF BOROUGH BY-LAWS. J. Kerridge and W. Barnett were charged with committing a breach of the Borough by-laws by leading horses on footpaths. Both cases were dismissed with a caution. LARCENY. Augustus Tyrer was- charged with stealing two bottles of brandy from Bruce's Hotel. Sentenced to fourteen days' imprisonment witli hard labor. The Court then adjourned.
Wednesday, Sept. 10. (Before Justin Aylmer, Esq., R.M., and his Worship the Mayor.) ASSAULT WITH INTENT. John Miller and Edward Clarkson were charged with assault with intent to commit a rape, and reman-led for eight days. LUNACY. Michael Quinliss was remanded for medical examination. CIVIL CASES. Mould v. White.-Claim, £3 7s 3d. J. M. Wood v. Same. Both cases were adjourned till Friday, Sept. 12. The Court then adjourned.
