The following advertisement lately appeared in a Li verpool paper:—" Wanted by a young man of refined musical tastes, a position as son-in-law in a quiet well-to-do family."
AKAROA RESIDENT MAGISTRATE'S COURT. Friday, August 29. (Before Justin Aylmer, Esq., R.M.) CIVIL CASES. J. B. Barker v F. Cross and Co.—Claim, £37 9s Id. In this case a re-hearing had been granted. Judgment was now reserved till Tuesday, Sept. 2. ■ Mould v White.—Claim, £2 J6s 3d. Wood v White.—Claim, £6 2s 6d. In these cases judgment was given.by default for the amount claimed and costs. The Court then adjourned.
