Fine weather having set in, the farmers are now busy working their land, which in most districts is in capital order for ploughing, the late rams hiving thoroughly soaked in, which was much wanted in consequence of the long drought so much felt throughout the Province during the spring and summer months. The railway bridges are again repaired from the damage caused by the late floods, and graziers took advantage of the same by forwarding many good lines of sheep to the market this week. At the Addington Yards, on Wednesday,----5166 sheep, 212 head of cattle, and 63 pigs came forward for tlie week's supply. Sheep.— Tlie biddings at the opening of the sale were dull, but later on. prices im- • proved, and .the btilk'of the fat sheep were purchased for the West Coast market, which was of great assistance in clearing 'offthe stock.
