INTERPROVINCIAL TELEGRAMS.
(FROM THE, LYTTELTON TIMES.)
Wellington, July 5
Members are beginning to arrive here in anticipation of the session. Messrs O'Korke, Willis, and Feldwick arrived in the Hawea from the South this afternoon.
The general impression is that the session will open stormily, but that when it comes to the test the present Ministry will hold their own. Mr Gisbprne's accession to office is regarded from both personal and political points of view as wise and politic. Mr O'Eorke's election to the Speakership is considered a certainty. Sir W. Fitzherbert's appointment will, on the earliest opportunity, form the subject of animadversion by the Opposition in the Upper House. It is understood that either the Hon. W. H." Reynolds or Captain Fraser will move the House into Committee as soon as an opportunity, presents itself or can be made, and will lead the attack against the Government for making the appointment. On the whole, the political barometer indicates temporary" stormy weather.
