IN conformity with tho provisions of " The Canterbury Roads Ordinance, 1872," and "The Regulation of Local Elections Act, 1876," section 46, I hereby give notice that an ELECTION will be held at the offices of the Akaroa and Wainui Road Board, Duvauchelle's Bay, on FRIDAY, the 21st day of March, 1879, for the purpose of electing ONE Member to fill an extraordinary vacancy caused by the resignation of Mr John Duxbury. The NOMINATION of Candidates, which must be made in the manner provided in the 11th section of the second recited Act, will take place at the said. Road Board Offices, at noon, on WEDNESDAY, the 12th day of March current, and a POLL (if necessary) will be taken at the said offices between the hours of 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. on FRIDAY, the 21st day of March, 1879.
