Tuesday, Ma&ch 4. (Before Justin Aylmer, Esq., R.M.) CATTLE TRESPASS.

John Woodill, Frederick Orchard, Wm. Thomas, John Kerridge, Thomas Adams, Martin Daly, Greacen Black, and Alex. Wright were each fined 5s and costs for this offence. . . .

R. M'Cloy, charged with having allowed a bull to trespass on the land of James Hay, at Pigeon Bay, was fined 40s and costs. Civil Cases. Judgment by default for the amounts claimed with costs, was given in the following cases:— Arming v. Morland, £6 6s 7£d Billens v. Penny, £8 16n Gd. O'Reilly v. Penny, £3 3s. The Court then adjourned.

Thomas Brine was charged with having been drunk and disorderly.

It appeared that the prisoner had only been discharged from custody on the previous day, after serving a sentence of fourteen days for larceny. Immediately, on his release, he had apparently commenced paying his devotions to Bacchus, and his conduct had been very outrageous.

Prisoner pleaded..hard to be let! off this time, as he was going away.

Discharged on condition of his' leaving the town within an hour.

Joseph Cotter alias Cart-wright, on bail, appeared to answer to a similar charge. This defendant was evidently intoxicated at the time of his appearance before the Court. -

Sentenced to twenty-four hours' imprisonment for contempt of Court.

The Court tlien adjourned.
