CORN EXCHANGE REPORT.

Potatoes.—The requirements at present are purely of a looal character. Rates remain at 'about last week's quotations— £6 to £6 per ton for small lots, and immediate delivery. The supply during ,the week has been rather bare. The unusually early frost in the beginning of the week has affected unfavourably some of the potntoe crops. This will tend further to reduce the yield. Cheese and Butter.—Same quotations as last week, viz., 6£d to 7d for the former, and lid for the latter. Grass Seed.—Little or no inquiry. Good clean samples of rye grass seed are worth 5s 6d to 6s per bushel; cocksfoot, 6£d to 7d.perlb. - Messrs Wilkin and Co. report:—Wool— Since our last sale we have received about 100 bales, which we intend offering for sale on Thursday next at 11 o'clock. Sheepskins.—At our sale on Feb. 20, 2550 catalogued, and all sold. There was a fair attendance of buyers, and j biddings were spirited, as follows :—Crossbred, large, 2s lid to 3b 9d each: do, medium, 2s to 2s lid each; do, small and inferior, Is to 2s each; pelts, 2s to 2s 3d each; lambskins, 1b 4d to 2s each. Tallow.—There was a fair quantity of tallow catalogued, but no buyers. AH the lots, however, were disposed of privately after the sale. Best clean well saved, 2d to 2|d per lb ; second quality, lfd to 2d per lb ; inferior and heated, l|d to Ifd. •Hides.—Salted, 4£d per lb; damaged, 2£d per lb ; calfskins, not sold. INTERPROVINCIAL COMMERCIAL TELEGRAMS. New Plymouth, Feb. 21. Owing to the dry weather there are few buyers. Quotations— Two-year-old steers, £5; 18-month steers, £4 ; yearlings, 55s to 65s ; calves 46s to 52s 6d ; cows, £5 to £6 10s. „ , M Invercargiix, Feb. 21. Business has been rather dull during the week. Flbur is without alteration in value, and goes quietly into the hands of the trade at £10 to £10 10s per ton ; bran, £5 ; pollard, £5 15s, at the mills. Stocks of all kinds of breadstuffs are fully adequated to requirements.
