LE BON'S BAY.
A public meeting: was held on the 27th January, to elect a new School Committee. Mr IK Wright acted as chairman, and proceeded to read a statement of the Committee's accounts for the past year. The balance in hand on the Ist of January was £8 Is 6d.
The meeting unanimously agreed that the accounts should be adopted.
The Chairman asked the meeting if there were any complaints to be made with regard to the school management. There being none, he proceeded to the business
of electing a new committee, the result of *, which was that five of the outgoing committee were re-elected, viz., Messrs Geo. v, Hall, Thomas Oldridge, E. Fairbrass, W. Foster, and James Oldridge. The remaining two, being unable to attend regularly, declined to stand. Messrs M'Culloch and Eredericksen were elected in their places.^ A meeting of committee was held immediately after, and Mr Geo. Hall was ■■ re-appointed Chairman, Mr Macmillan Clerk, and Mr Thos. Oldridge to countersign cheques. *» Mr Symes' tender for a dividing" fence and gate was accepted at £6. Mr Smith's tender for painting school buildings was forwarded to the Board for approval.
