To the Editor of the AkaroaMaiL" Sm, —I am sorry to observe the insinuation in the letter of your correspondent, published in your last istue, and relating to the bathing question, that the Borough Councillors are tbe Great unwashed. lam given to understand that this is not the case. Two Councillors at least, though neither of them .mover of seconder of the resolution in question, have repeatedly been known to, wash. ;. The parting i_iot of your correspondent is certaining telling ; I am inclined to add tbat one publican, at least, having ceased to be a sinner, has adopted the role of a Pharisee, —Yours, &c,
