On and after the 17sth JANUARY, 1879, The Akabqa Mail Will contain, ONCE A WEEK, a TWO-PAGE SUPPLEMENT, Consisting of an additional FOURTEEN COLUMNS Of entertaining matter, i nder tihe following headings : — THE NOVELIST. Under this head will appear two well written TALES, one continuous, and the other complete. THE GATHERER. A series of interesting , selections. Agricultural and Pastoral, Scientific, The Traveller, Ladies' Column, Poetry, and Miscellaneous. Many of our subscribers and friends have complained that, outside local news, there was but little interesting reading matter in the columns of the Mail, and with the limited space at our disposal, this was to a great extent inevitable, By publishing a supplement, however, exclusively devoted to literary matter, we hope to make the Mail a first-class FAMILY NEWSPAPER.
