Act, 1876," and "Tli" Regulation of Local Elections Act. 187(5," the ANNUAL ELECTION of a. MAYOR for the Borough of Akaroa. under clauses 51 and 52 of the Act above first recited, will be held at the offices of the Borough Council, Akaroa, on WEDNESDAY, the 27th day of November, current. The NOMINATION of Candidates, which must be made in the manner provided in clause 11 of the second recited Act, will take place at the said Borough Council offices, at noon, on FRIDAY, the 22nd clay of November, and the Poll (if necessary) will be taken at the said offices, between the hours of 9 a.m. and 6 p.m., on Wednesday, the 27th day of November, 1878. Annand, Henry Billens, Patrick O'Reilly, and John Sunckell, resigned, thereby causing four extraordinary vacancies. The NOMINATION of Candidates, which must be made in the manner provided in the 11th clause of the second recited Act, will take place at the said Borough Council Offices, at noon, on FRIDAY, the 15th day of November, current, and a Poll (if necessary) will be taken at the said offices between the hours of 9 a.m. and G p.m., on Saturday, the 30th clay of November, current.
