LE BON'S BAY ROAD.

To the Editor of the Akaroa Mail. Sin, —As an old member of the Akaroa and Wainui Road Board, I find amusement and pleasure in watching the proceedings of that and other Public Bodies, who are or ought to be devoting their time to the benefit of the community, yet I really cannot see as an outsider what benefit is to arise to the people who are most interested in the affair, viz. the Le Bon's Bay settlers. Nor can I understand why the ratepayers' money of this district should be wasted in an exceptional manner. It is well known that the Road Board refused point blank to give the old roads in exchange to both Breitmeyer and Glynan, then why favor Mr Ininan ? Did the Road Board give him permission to sell the old road ? Which it appears he has done. The blunder must of course be pnt on someone, why not on the Road Board V This is a most odorous affair, pray disturb not deeper "The Waters of Cremona" (sic). Yours, __c, JACOB WAECKERLE. [The correspondence in connection with the Le Bon's Bay road must really cease. We should have thought it would have been impossible to have written so much on such a subject, and every phase of the question having now been ventilated, we shall decline any further correspondence on the subject. We are quite of the opinion that " The Waters of Cremona," wherever they may be, should not be desturbed. — Ed. A. M.]
