The Akaroa Mail. TUESDAY, OCTOBER 15.
A meeting of the Akaroa and Wainui Road Board was held yesterday at their offices, Head of the Bay. Owing to the late hour at which the proceedings terminated, we are compelled to hold over our full report of the proceedings till next issue. We may mention, however, that a telegram was received from Mr Montgomery, stating that the Government had appointed Mr John Ollivier as Special Commissioner to enquire into the claims for land compensation against the late Provincial Government.
