Fi'lday Aug. -23. (Before Justin Ayhner, Esq., R.M.) cattle trespass. J. BroAvn for an offence of thi. nature was lined 10h and costs. A case against; H. Wagstaff of a similar nature was dismissed, it being his first offence. The Court then adjourned,
Monday, August 26. (Before Justin Ayhner, Esq., R.M.) LARCENY as a bailee. Jules Berland was brought up ;*on three djKQirenticharges of stealing oats, the property of. Mr S. "Lee, coach proprietor, Head of the.'Bay. "■The-offences are said to have been committed at the Hill Top, where the accused was groom in charge of the coach horses and stables. ■Mr Henning, clerk to Mr G. W. Nalder, solicitor, who had been engaged to appear for the accused, asked the Bench to adjourn the case to allow of Mr Nalder being present. The police offering no objection, the Bench adjourned the hearing to Thursday, the 29th instant, the accused being admitted to bail, himself in £20, with two sureties of £10 each on each charge. . The Court then adjourned.
