ORIGINAL CORRESPONDENCE.
[We are at all times ready to give ex pression to every shade of opinion, but in no case do we hold ourselves responsible for the sentiments of our correspondents.] ROBINSON'S BAY BRIDGE. To the Editor of the Akaroa Mail. Sir, —Strange rumours are afloat that the Chairman of the Wainui Road Board haspersuaded the members into building a bridge in Robinson's Bay on private property through his (the Chairman) having fenced
in, and built upon, the proper road. Now Sir, if there is any truth in rumor, the sooner the members enquire into this matter the better, and not throw away some £70 of the public money. Yours, &c, ONE OF THE PUBLIC.
