FAIR PLAY.

To the Editor of the Akaroa Mail.

Sir, —I feel that " Voter's " plain questions as he terms them are anything but fair. I hold that Mr M'Donald can in no way prejudice his claim if he is elected a member of the Road Board, from the fact that all compensation questions where members'are concerned are settled by arbitration; and, further, it would be an injustice to bar any' qualified ratepayer from becoming a member because a road had been forced through his property some years before. lam not supporting Mr M'Donald in the coming election, hence the reason I ask for fair play. Yours, &c, HENEY PIPER. Duvauchelle's Bay, July 31.
