The Underwriter's Association, under date London, July 15, reports the arrival of the Waitara from the Bluff.
After the Garonne struck, the life boat with a crew was sent to Aden (400 .miles) for assistance. She was picked
up by the steamer Merioneth, which' went to Ras Hafoon to assist, '"but the Garonne had then gone. The steamer brought the boat's crew to Galle.
