OKAINS BAY ROAD.
To the Editor of the Akaroa Mail
Sir, —I am an old settler in Okain's Bay for neariy twenty years, and I have hitherto had.to pack my produce, and my old woman and kids as well, for the period stated, over an impracticable bridle track. As the Akaroa and Wainui Road Board have done their best to improve the road on their side of the dividing range, I think it , quite time our Road Board commenced doing something on this side, so that I may see and have the pleasure before I die of driving from the wilds to civilisation. All that is required is the will and ■determination, and the work will be done.
Yours, &c, OLD SETTLER.
