ANONYMOUS CORRESPONDENTS.
To the Editor of the Akaroa Mail
Sir, —The subject of the so called in--Iqnities:of the Borough Council and the Road Board having been worn bare by your anonymous contributors, it appears that they are now directing their attention to the Trust and to the County Council, but while they withhold their names their assertions —groundless as they are—will remain without reply. Fair criticism should be welcomed by a public man, or by a public body, but not the personal insinuations of a writer who dares not attach his signature. Such are contemptible, but, as shown by the resignation of the late Chairman of the Eoad Board, are capable of great mischief, and should not receive the support of the Press. Yours, &c, E. C. LATTER.
Barry's Bay, June 29.
