Potatoes. — The enquiry continuing good, potatoes maintain their value, and an. quoted at 4-7. od to 50s.
K'-OUit. —Tlie market is easier, although prii.'os nominally remain as before. Gsass Si.uD.—Tiiere is nothing doing either in rye grass or cocksfoot beyond a*- occasional outside order.
Dairy Produce. —Holders are getting '9d to 9|dfofcgood.*butter, and are sanguine of realising still higher prices. Cheese has improved slightly in demand, and is quoted at s£d to 6d. Hams and -bacon, 8d in cloth.
The land sales on Thursday amounted to 10.485 a3r 24p, as follows :—Ashley, 1490'; Selwyn 1403 ; Akaroa, 35; Ashburton, 2178 a 3r 24p; Geraldine, 5379;— -realising £20,971 16s. Mr E. J. T. Ford reports the sale of ■570 acres of land at Burnham at £2 18s per acre cash.
