[PEB PEESS AGENCY.] Auckland, June 17. The remains of Donald McKenzie, aged 78, an old Waterloo veteran, were interred with Masonic honors yesterday, at Onehunga. Wellington, June 17. It is understood that a reserve of forty thousand acres is being made for Milford Harbor, though it is not yet formally completed. Dunedin, June 17. A criminal. information for libel was laid on Saturday, by Macassy, solicitor, against G. M. Reed, editor of the Otago ; Daily Times. The alleged libel was contained in an article in the Daily Times, entitled •' Macassy on Law •Courts," and had reference to Rees and Hislop's bill. The Times states that Reed will lay a similar information against Macassy to-day, the ground of libel being the letter which appeared in the Herald. Reed laid criminal intormation for libel against Macassy this afternoon. Wellington, June 17. Henry Blundell, senior, late proprietor and founder of the Evening Post, died at Sydney on Saturday, after a short illness, aged 65. At a meeting of Roman Catholics last night, for the purpose of starting a ".girls' school at Te-Aro, £530 was collected in the room.
